Chinyere Okohalu, fondly known as Chichi, is a powerhouse at the intersection of media and disability advocacy in Nigeria. Hailing from Ebonyi State, Chichi’s journey began with a heartfelt mission to amplify the voices of individuals with disabilities. From her early days as a passionate Sign Language instructor and disability rights advocate, she has championed empowerment, inclusion, and representation for children, women, and communities often left behind.

A natural-born communicator and creative, she took a bold leap into the world of media and entertainment over two decades ago. She quickly rose to prominence as a captivating TV host, producer, and showbiz impresario lighting up screens across the country with hit programs like “Jukebox” on NTA, “Superlunch Chatroom” on Superscreen TV, and as the senior producer of “Esplash” on TVC. She’s also a respected media consultant for various inclusion-centered initiatives. Currently, she serves as the visionary Head of Media for the Network of Women with Disabilities, leading national advocacy campaigns for girls and women with disabilities.

In 2024, Chichi brought her vision to full circle as the convener of Naija Children’s Festival, a landmark event celebrating hope, talent, and unity among over 1,000 Nigerian children, especially those with disabilities. Now in its latest edition, the festival has become a beacon of inclusivity and national pride, creating unforgettable experiences for children of all abilities while fostering partnerships that drive long-term change.
